Susan 'Tomi' Berry is the Vice President of Balanced Life And Career Choices, Inc. (BLACC, Inc.).  She has more than 30 years of professional experience.  She has an extensive training background in management development, leadership training, diversity, hospitality/customer service, food safety and team building.  Tomi’s experience also includes staff and management training, organization management, adult learning theory, virtual learning and human resources policies and procedures. 

 

Tomi's experience includes work for two Fortune 500 Corporations.  While working for Turner Broadcast Systems, Inc. in Atlanta, she served as an Organization Development Consultant in the areas of professional development and human resources.  Tomi provided customized training and team building interventions and designed instructional courses.  She also held several positions during her 15-year career with Marriott International based in Washington, DC, including Director of Human Resources and National Training Manager.

Tomi served as a Director of Training for the Arthritis Foundation, a non-profit health services organization where she collaborated with various national and chapter staff members on training needs within the organization, coordinated annual conferences and consulted on training ideas. 

A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Tomi earned a Bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania. She has been a member of Organization Change Alliance, and the Association for Talent Development (ATD) where she served as Chair of the Volunteer Committee. An accomplished singer, Tomi combines her facilitation work in the artistic realm by developing performers in stage presence and voice control.
